Hungary-based AutoWallis — the parent company of No. 2 Hungary-based auto site JoAutok.hu, car-auction site Auto-Licit.hu and several dealerships —has opened multiple new dealerships across Central Europe in recent months. The expansion includes new facilities in Debrecen, Hungary, and Slovenia, representing brands from Renault and Dacia to XPENG and BMW.
The Budapest Stock Exchange Premium-listed company opened a new Renault and Dacia dealership and service center in Debrecen on Balmazújvárosi Road. The nearly one-hectare site features a 600-square-meter showroom with an eight-bay service center, body shop, and paint facility, providing comprehensive services to customers in eastern Hungary.
Debrecen opening fits the company’s expansion strategy following earlier Renault and Dacia locations in Győr, Sopron, and Mosonmagyaróvár since 2020, plus acquiring exclusive Hungarian import rights for Renault, Dacia, and Alpine with Portuguese partner Salvador Caetano Group in 2022. AutoWallis also announced plans to open a BYD dealership in Debrecen by year-end, according to a report on Azuzlet.hu
In Slovenia, AutoWallis and Salvador Caetano Group are opening the first XPENG dealership in Trzin, scheduled for late January 2026. The partnership acquired XPENG distribution rights for Hungary, Croatia, and Slovenia in September and has already launched pop-up stores in Budapest and Ljubljana showcasing the G6 and G9 SUV models.
The company also reopened Slovenia’s largest BMW and MINI dealership in Ljubljana after extensive renovation according to BMW’s Retail.NEXT concept, which combines personal service with digital elements for a premium customer experience. The showroom is the first of AutoWallis’ Slovenian locations to reopen under the AutoWallis brand, five years after joining the group in 2020.
AutoWallis now represents 30 brands across 17 countries in the region. In Slovenia, the Distribution Business Unit handles Jaguar, Land Rover, Opel, Farizon, and XPENG, while the Retail Business Unit operates dealerships for BMW, MINI, Land Rover, Opel, Toyota, and Suzuki across five cities.
The company’s auto site JoAutok received 278,812 visits in November, according to Similarweb data. Auto-Licit attracted 10,921 visitors during the same month.
JoAutok’s main competitors are HasznaltAuto.hu and the auto category of horizontal Jofogas.hu, which are both owned by Ingatlan. HasznaltAuto saw 9.9 million visits in April, while Jofogas’ auto category had 877,658.
