Boat Bike Tours is adding a boutique barge cruise in France and Belgium to its 2026 portfolio. The 15-day itinerary on the Fleur features cruising and cycling along the Somme River.Â
The Fleur has 10 cabins and can accommodate 20 passengers. CEO Laurens Winkel called Boat Bike’s barges “at the heart of our style of travel. They’re small and comfortable with a welcoming crew who can take guests biking in towns other ships can’t reach and let them settle in and connect on a personal level. The barge’s owner is also the captain and can share insight on local history, culture and the landscape.”
Guests travel up to 42 miles a day on an e-bike; the company offers a shorter and longer route option each day.Â
Travelers will visit the floating gardens of Amiens, the caves of Naours and the UNESCO-listed historical centers of Bruges and Kortrijk. Other highlights include a picnic at Poeke Castle, a French whisky tasting and visiting a goat cheese farm.Â
Prices start at about $4,400 per person.
