We have just received notification that the ship loaded with humanitarian aid from the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, dedicated to the people of Gaza, has departed from the port of Mersin in Turkey. Our humanitarian shipment, worth 500 thousand euros, includes tents, food packages, blankets and 158 thousand hot food rations for the residents in need there.
Although the Government of the Republic of Kosovo made this decision in January, its implementation became possible only after the recent peace agreement, reached under the leadership of the President of the United States, Donald Trump.
This humanitarian aid represents the commitment of the Republic of Kosovo as part of international solidarity and our commitment to supporting the civilian population facing enormous difficulties in Gaza. We are pleased that we are the first government of the Republic of Kosovo to be able to provide such support to the residents of Gaza. We hope that it will contribute, even in a modest way, to alleviating suffering and to efforts for peace, security and stability for all.
On this occasion, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Red Crescent for their close cooperation and assistance in carrying out this humanitarian operation. /Telegraph/
