Just under 700,000 viewers watched on average the final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 live from Tbilisi, Georgia.

La 1 recorded an average audience of 681,000 viewers for the final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025. This is the smallest average audience for the contest in Spain’s history in the competition and marks a fall of 357,000 viewers compared to 2024 when Spain hosted the competition.

The audience share for the contest, however remains in line with previous contests, with a share of 8.1% of viewers. This is the same share that RTVE recorded for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Nice, France. Over the duration of the broadcast 3.117 million viewers watched at least 1 minute of the contest.

  • 2022 – 1.183 million – 10.1% share
  • 2023 – 827,000 viewers – 8.1% share
  • 2024 – 1.038 million – 12.1% share
  • 2025 – 681,000 viewers – 8.1% share

Gonzalo Pinillos represented Spain at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with “Érase Una Vez (Once Upon a Time)”. He placed 5th in the final, scoring 152 points, including 12 points from the Portuguese jury.

Spain first took part in the contest in 2003 and participated every year between then and 2006. In 2004, María Isabel brought Spain their only victory so far with “Antes muerta que sencilla”. After an absence of 13 years, Spain returned to the contest in 2019 with “Marte” by Melani García. Spain had always finished in the top 5 until the 2021 contest, when Levi Díaz finished in 15th place. The 2024 contest was hosted in Madrid, the first Eurovision contest to take place in Spain since Eurovision 1969.
