This is a quote from his sermon back in August that led to disciplinary action:

    > Our country needs solidarity now. Now is the moment for all of us who are able to speak to say a word. How can you hide at a time like this? When everything calms down, then preaching will be easy…
    >
    > I can speak about theology, the Gospel, I can preach — and don’t take this as self-praise — but I cannot talk about those things and forget these people. I cannot speak in lofty words and ignore the fact that children are being beaten in the streets. How can you do that? I truly don’t understand how they manage it.
    >
    > I know many clergy — don’t think I’m alone. There are many who think clearly and stand on the side of truth, and I don’t understand what they are afraid of, what has frightened them.
    >
    > I want to tell them: while dignity still matters, speak up for Georgia. Georgia needs us today.

After this, he was first removed as head of the Lower Bethlehem Nativity Church, and has now been banned from serving entirely.

How do religious people not feel disrespected when their church is taken over by political filth?

  3. I think it’s pretty established by now that the clergy is a post Soviet remnant of the KGB. I’m happy we are cracking down on this shit in Armenia.
