The quality of this solution has also been recognized at the European level – the startup MyTurn was recently announced as one of the 15 winners of the award. WSA European Young Innovator at the European Young Innovators Festival, held in late November in Graz, Austria. This made it only the second Montenegrin startup in the last eight years to win this award.
The World Summit Awards represent one of the most significant European and global recognitions for digital innovations by young people that contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals and positive social change.
MyTurn was founded by Ivana Gazivoda, Milica Matovic and Petar Jovanovic, and the idea was born at the European Innovation Academy in Portugal, with the support of psychologists, educators and more than 150 families who participated in the development and testing of the application.

MyTurn has so far also implemented cooperation with domestic companies that recognize the importance of family and educational initiatives, including Kotor Cable Car.
The app was awarded for its contribution to the development of healthier family habits and the promotion of a more equal division of household chores, standing out from more than a hundred submitted solutions from across Europe. The international jury, composed of 11 experts in the fields of technology, education and social impact, particularly highlighted the app’s contribution to empowering children and improving communication within families.
“Our startup was born out of the need to make everyday household chores less of a burden for mothers and more of an opportunity for the whole family to work and learn together. The European recognition is confirmation that we are heading in the right direction and additional motivation to continue developing the application,” the MyTurn team said.

MyTurn works by allowing children to collect points through play by completing tasks at home, while parents can track progress and plan responsibilities more easily. The app currently has more than 3.000 users in more than 76 countries, which confirms its growth and international recognition. MyTurn is free. and available on Google Play i App Store.
