Digital authentication service LuxTrust says it is “working to restore services as quickly as possible” after identifying the cause of a technical incident that has made authentication via its app unavailable since 15:20 on Tuesday afternoon.
“We would like to reassure you that this issue has no impact on the integrity of our systems, customer data or the security of transactions,” the company wrote on its website.
“Service restoration is expected later today,” LuxTrust said in a press communiqué sent at 10:00 on Wednesday.
Several banks that use LuxTrust authentication to allow customers to access their online banking and apps have also published notifications of the system failure.
LuxTrust said it would provide more details of the reasons behind the technical fallout once a “detailed review” has been conducted.
