Within the scope of the 32nd OSCE Ministerial Council meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, Hakan Fidan.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye expressed gratitude to his Georgian counterpart for the support and efforts extended following the Turkish military aircraft crash.

The strong strategic partnership and intensive bilateral cooperation between Georgia and the Republic of Türkiye were positively acknowledged.

The discussion highlighted the active dynamics of reciprocal visits at both high-level and sectoral ministry levels. The significance of holding the third session of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council was noted.

Attention was paid to ongoing regional developments and the role of Georgia and Türkiye in promoting stability and peace in the region. The Turkish side once again reaffirmed its steadfast support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The parties reviewed the productive trade and economic cooperation between Georgia and the Republic of Türkiye, emphasizing the need to fully leverage the transit and transport potential of both countries within the context of developing the Middle Corridor.

The discussion also focused on the effective cooperation between Georgia and Türkiye within the framework of international organizations.
