Latvia contributed 200,000 euros to the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine to support the Ukrainian energy grid after Russian attacks. This was announced on X by Latvia’s Foreign Minister Baiba Braže.

Recent contributions by partners to help Ukraine’s energy sector
On December 17, it was announced that Luxembourg also contributed 10 million euros to the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine.
Earlier, Estonia allocated 150 thousand euros to Ukraine to support the energy system.
On 22 October, the Norwegian government announced providing Ukraine with 1.5 billion Norwegian kroner (about 135 million dollars) to ensure electricity and access to heat in the winter season.
On 24 October, Germany announced that it would additionally contribute 60 million euros to the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine.
As winter approaches, Sweden also decided to allocate 35 million euros to Ukraine via the World Bank.
Such contributions demonstrate long-standing international support for Ukraine’s energy security during the winter season.
