Hi Guys,

I have been applying for student job positions for almost two months, but got rejections from everywhere. So I decided to change my CV format.

Here is a draft of my new CV, in the German format. Any suggestions? What can I do to improve it? Are there anything sections that I should add or remove?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thank you very much 🙂

  1. I would put working experience on top, then projects, then education.

I would delete most of the left site and go for a modernCV format (latex) you can look on overleaf for templates, i use moderncvstyle classic

Your main problem is b1 german

Also i would delete the 35% mIoU part. Doesn’t add anything and without context this value is useless if not compared with a baseline. In general 35% is not that good but depends on the context could also be a great result depending on the task. And you should probably report perfomance based on test set not validation.

Iy could be that you’re applying for jobs in Germany with an English CV?

I know a lot of people can speak English but if I moved to Italy I wouldn’t send a CV in Spanish just because I can speak Spanish better than Italian??

If you can’t speak German then maybe make that a priority…

90% of companies won’t even look at it if it’s in English, eitherway, I recommend you to apply for working student positions at your university, your odds there way higher than working in a private company. of course apply for everything.
