CHP Chairman Özgür Özel reacted to the British Labor Party at the European Socialist Party Leaders Meeting. Special, "There is the reality that we are sister parties. Today, the British Labor Party is showing more solidarity with Erdoğan than Erdoğan expected. We cannot accept this" he said.
Özgür Özel continued his statements as follows:
"While the left in a country like Turkey has risen to 38 percent, defeated Erdoğan for the first time in 25 years, and become the first party for the first time in 47 years, I really wonder how much our friends in Europe are paying attention to the great violations of rights and the great attack in Türkiye, and how aware they are of this. I’ve said it several times before. Of course, I understand Europe’s defense and security concerns. I wholeheartedly support whatever Türkiye needs to do on this issue. However, the solution to the problems created by these authoritarians, authoritarian populist leaders or pure authoritarian leaders is not to be sought solely by local authorities.
The problems created by authoritarians can be fought in a democratic way, and if an alliance is to be established against authoritarians, the name of this alliance is; democracy alliance. If you fight against some authoritarians and support other authoritarians; You would be leaving alone a social democratic party like us, which currently has the most mayoralties in the world, a party that has become the first party in its country and will come to power in the first election and create a new wind for the whole of Europe and the whole left. As I said at the beginning, PES’s management and all levels showed great solidarity. But it is as if on behalf of all of us, PES’s management offers its best wishes and shows the greatest solidarity. PES is an umbrella organization. How much importance do the countries and parties that make up PES attach and contribute to this solidarity? “I wonder about that.”

Ha gayret Özgür’üm anlayacaksın emperyalizm ne demekmiş. Kardeş parti dediği Labor Party de zaten Britanya işçi sınıfının en büyük düşmanlarından biridir.
Dış güçlerin hepsi yıllardır Akp’yi destekliyor. Onlardan hiçbir beklentin olmasın. Senin yapmak gereken Türk halkının çoğunluğuna hitap eden seçmen kitlesinin problemlerini çözecek siyaset üreteler iktidar olmak. Bununda en etkili yönetimi belediyeler aracılığı ile halka ulaşmak.
Labour’un labour’lığı kalmamış, bunu zaten herkes görüyor. Eminim diğer üyeler de fikrine katılıyordur Özgür reyis.
İngiliz’den medet ummayı kesmiş Özel. Biraz(!) geç de olsa önemli bir adım zira İngiltere, Türkiye’de bilhassa Atatürkçü bir hükumetin olmaması için elinden geleni yapar. Yahu çok az tarih bilen birisi bile bunu çok iyi bilir.
