Sadly anything that goes through north-west Germany is likely getting delays. If there is a delay the app should eventually tell you “Zugbindung aufgehoben” which means you may take any equivalent train (in your case ICE) to get to your target location.
*edit: I wrote North-east instead of North-west. No idea why.
Check the schedules in Bahn.de
ICE 1010 is 39% of the days on time with an average delay of 13 minutes.
ICE 126 is 34% of the days on time with an average delay of 10 minutes.
Good luck.
Best option:
Buy this itinery on [bahn.de](http://bahn.de) or the DB Navigator App *in one ticket*.
If you get delayed and miss your connection in Düsseldorf, you can take the next available train towards amsterdam.
German trains are very unreliable, 18 minutes for transfer is a major risk.
The trains that pass through dusseldorf are frequently delayed. It’s part of the busiest rail corridor in Europe and they’re upgrading the line.
Plus side is if you get delayed, Düsseldorf is a nice place.
