Libya has secured an initial court ruling in its favor in the case concerning the ownership of the oil tanker Badr, owned by the General National Maritime Transport Company (GNMTC), according to the Libyan Embassy in Bulgaria.
The embassy stated that Bulgaria’s Supreme Court ordered the tanker to be returned to its legitimate owner, describing the ruling as an important step toward resolving the case, although it remains subject to appeal under applicable legal procedures.
It added that this development reflects the strength of Libya’s legal position and supports ongoing efforts to recover and safeguard national assets abroad, confirming that legal proceedings will continue until a final and binding judgment is issued.
