  1. The Hungarian clown circus is going to unravel in a spectacular fashion eventually. I can guess where the private jets will go.

Like in almost every refusal and veto in EU decisions until now, again Visegrad countries take the lead

I am scared to see the capitalist vultures exploiting a post war recovering ukraine. Hope the government has a strong foot.

Czechoslovakia, invaded by Soviet criminals back in ’68 refuses to support Ukraine. I am deeply ashamed by both our representations. History will remember them as traitors and criminal Russian agents.

  5. Such a fucking shame seeing this map from Hungary.
Sorry fellow european neighbours and believe us, the majority of us are with You.
The fat clown is just a toxic traitor !

  6. Rare Czech L. Hungary and Slovakia I kinda get, their current leaders are Putin bootlickers. But why did Czechia refuse?

Totally safe and trustfull financial operation. Well spent money. Why do I have feeling some of this money will go to buy some media to claim that it’s a good idea?

Giving so much money to a notoriously corrupt country makes me sick in addition to that it is not part of Europe.

  9. you understand who will pay this loan? those countries

I am not saying it’s right or wrong decision, but let’s add it to the context

As a Slovak – I feel sorry. I believe majority of the population still supports Ukraine but the fake news, russian propaganda and political bullshit poluted their common sense and vote for absolute idiots.

Bit of a context – our government is full of Russian buttlickers, but not just that. The Prime Minister (Fico) silently owns company EUSTREAM through some Cyprus comapany and set of machinations.
And EUSTREAM’s business model is transit of the gas through Slovakia (small country but that pipes we have were generating like 700 000 000 eur/year). So thats a big motivation for Mr. Fico to vote against anything pro-ukraine. He and his party steals like crazy, but still this company was generating big part of his personal wealth. A**hole.

It’s much more unified than the United States of America. Those people can’t agree on anything. They literally fight about scientific facts and sometimes they storm the legislative branch.

Every country contributes into the EU budget, so every country is participating in the loan. Red countries refused to guarantee the loan, which is only relevant in the case of EU’s collapse.

To be fair I am aware that at least Czechia is hosting a really high number of Ukranian refugees. In fact so many of them that they will have to face a crisis when/if the war ends and they return to Ukraine.

  14. The red countries are participating, even if Orban, Fico, Babis are saying to their voters the opposite. The loan is primarily backed by EU budget, which is financed by all EU countries. If Ukraine stops paying and EU goes bankrupt, only then the particular countries would need to cover the loan. So never.

  15. Bad move by Slovakia. If Putin took Ukraine, they are an obvious target for invasion given they don’t align with EU.

Who is willing to bet that if Orban is not re-elected in the spring, he will find asylum in Russia after the finally free Hungarian judiciary is able to investigate him? Putin has always protected his puppets when they lose power. Ask Bashar al-Assad and Viktor Yanukovych.
