A day ago, it was announced that US President Donald Trump had signed the National Defense Authorization Act, which authorizes over $901 billion for defense programs and which also includes Kosovo.
And after this news, the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Washington also reacted through a post on Facebook, stating that the US has reaffirmed its strong support for the Republic of Kosovo.
“The United States of America has reaffirmed its strong support for the Republic of Kosovo through the adoption of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The law underscores the US commitment to Kosovo’s sovereignty, security, and Euro-Atlantic path, supports the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue based on mutual recognition, and clearly opposes any idea of territorial division or border changes.
“Grateful to Congress, the White House and all those who were committed to the inclusion and approval of important provisions for the Republic of Kosovo,” the Embassy’s announcement reads. /Telegrafi/
