Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed Moscow is winning the war in Ukraine whilst denying responsibility for the conflict.
During a tightly controlled, hours-long Q&A that was broadcast nationwide, he accused Kyiv of an “unconstitutional, armed coup” against its own citizens in 2014.
Putin also lashed out at NATO for breaking promises and expanding eastward.
He warned of “severe consequences” if frozen Russian assets were to be used to fund Ukraine’s war effort.
