Yeah, fairness is for business deals and friendships.

It’s not for how much a genocidal rapist invader ‘should get from their victim’

  2. Honestly a lot of those areas are very undeveloped, are full of corrupt officials and Russian sympathetic people. Maybe it’s better to cut the fat and focus the redevelopment of Ukraine in Kyiv, Odessa, Lviv etc. Although on the flip side Russia will be emboldened and maybe push for more in a few years when they can rebuild their numbers and equipment, I certainly don’t envy the task of Zelensky and the Ukraine government.

  3. >Russian forces would “stay” in the temporarily occupied parts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, which Ukraine would later reclaim through diplomacy.

You cannot negotiate with a killer who has already invaded your lands twice. Either NATO man’s up and does their job or just let Russia take Ukraine. This is the exact scenario that got them into this mess. Putin will not stop unless someone stops him.

  4. I would say getting Crimea and all Donbas back plus a few trillion dollars in compensation from Russia would be faire.

I get the position he is in and my frustration is not directed at Zelenskyy here, but this is kind of like if I just knocked out a wall of my neighbor’s house and set up a home office in their living room and after arguing about it for a while they were like, “ok I guess it’s fair if you keep your office in my house and we just call it even.”

Ukraine is the victim of an unprecedented terrorism from the Russian state. I understand political pragmatism, but a fair peace will include not only Russia’s return to its pre-2014 borders, but also compensation for all damage to lives, health, and property… And it is clear that any relations will be difficult to restore even after such a peace, because today’s Ukrainian citizens including children will remember the horrors that Russian terrorists inflict on them every day!

  7. Zelensky said this in Autumn 2025. It has now taken Trump well over a year to “negotiate” into exactly the same position Ukraine was in previously.

He knows it costs nothing to say this cos the orange dude is not honest on wanting a valid peace deal, so they’ll have to be on record reneging of things they pushed for.

Hopefully Ukraine gets a peace deal then immediately gets to join the EU. Then they will have the funds to rebuild as well as the security that it brings. Will also show the people in Donbas and Crimea what they are missing.

My biggest issue is Europe needs to step up. The US is not needed in any of this . You have two countries with Nukes and enough tech that can step in with Ukraine.

Putin sees it that if Europe is to scared to actually step up and the US really doesn’t care why should he even bother coming to a deal.

Europe really should give Putin an ultimatum with a firm date where they come in and start with their own air support and slowly build from there.

Willing to bet Putin would start actually accept a deal with current lines if European countries manned up.

This comes from an actual US citizen .

No I don’t mean the EU. I just mean England and France. We all know. Putin wants to take over Europe and playing games like this before is what got Hitler so much land.

Europe should immediately switch to a war footing and put troops into Ukraine. The Russians have stated that they’re going into the Baltics. Its time to show the Russians that enough is enough.

  12. I hope the western countries should similar Zealand with regards to the illegal occupier and colonial state of israel

  13. Fair for Russia, not for Ukraine. It would be an insult to the Ukrainian casualties of the war.

That’s basically the absolute limit of what Ukraine is going to agree to if the rest of the deal is good enough – which is why, if Putin responds to this at all, it’s gonna be him claiming that it’s absolutely inacceptable.

  15. I am pro-Ukraine. But do people not inderstand the situation on the ground? There is no chance in a million years that Ukraine can hope to reconquer territory militarily. Unless Russia collapses internally. Ukraine’s best bet is to cede current territory permanently, get some real security guarantees (near impossible because of Trump), and then rebuild and join EU and NATO.
