Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, reacted via a Facebook post to the recognition of Kosovo by the Bahamas. Kurti wrote that 2025 has been a year of new recognitions and that so far four countries have recognized Kosovo during this year.

According to him, Kosovo is gaining new friendships and new opportunities for cooperation.

“The year 2024 was the year of our passport. The year 2025 is the year of new recognitions, after a long time. The Bahamas becomes the fourth state this year and the 121st to recognize our Republic as an independent and sovereign state.

Congratulations to all citizens and special gratitude to our President, Vjosa Osmani, state officials, and our partners for another achievement in strengthening our international subjectivity.

Kosovo is gaining new friendships and, along with them, new opportunities for cooperation. We look forward to turning mutual recognition into a sincere partnership with the state and the people of the Bahamas,” Kurti wrote.
