According to forecasts, the weather in Latvia will become colder during Christmas week.
However, the weather will remain warm until the end of this week. On Saturday night, light rain is expected in the western and central parts of the country, and during the day in the east. Sunday will pass without significant precipitation. The air temperature will range from +1 to +7 degrees Celsius both at night and during the day.
During the weekend, there will be a slow to moderate southwesterly and westerly wind, which will shift to the northwest on Sunday.
Current forecasts indicate that Monday will be 1-2 degrees cooler, but on Tuesday, a slight frost will set in across Latvia, with temperatures in the eastern part of the country dropping below -5 degrees. For now, forecasts are not certain about how long the frost will last, but there is a high probability that it will be a dry frost, as no significant precipitation is expected, and no significant snow cover will form.
