Security expert Agim Musliu has stated that the United States Congress has sent a clear message regarding the possibility of imposing sanctions against Serbian officials, due to the deterioration of the democratic situation and Serbia’s destabilizing actions in the region.

Musliu emphasized that assessments by American institutions show that democracy in Serbia is in a worrying state, that the elections were held under unfair conditions, and that the level of disinformation is alarming.

According to him, possible sanctions should not be limited only to democratic issues, but should also be related to Serbia’s responsibility for terrorism and sabotage.

He mentioned the terrorist attack in Banjska, where, according to Musliu, Milan Radoicic has publicly admitted his role, while Serbia continues to ignore international demands for justice.

Musliu also mentioned the attack on critical infrastructure in Ibër-Lepenc, for which the Kosovo Prosecution has filed an indictment with serious charges of terrorism and espionage, as well as serious suspicions of links to criminal structures from Serbia.

“Serbia does not hand over suspects, does not cooperate with justice bodies, and spreads disinformation against Kosovo and NATO,” Musliu stressed, adding that these actions make the next step inevitable – the imposition of sanctions against Serbia.

According to him, the sanctions should be directly related to Serbia’s confirmed involvement in the terrorist attacks in Banjska and Ibar-Lepenc, as well as the failure to hand over terrorist Milan Radoicic. /Telegraph/
