Its wild how brave people can be, I hope they got away without being detected.

  2. To anyone with a military background or otherwise well-read on the matter: is the fact that it only took 2 weeks for the SBU to “carefully study patrol routes and guard schedules” in order to slip in and out after sabotaging these planes indicative of the Russian military’s ineptness? Are other militaries in the world sure to install redundancies or randomized schedules or something? Just curious.

This successful operation, after the two Su-27s “disabled” on Dec 20th in Crimea and the similar drone attack on the same Belbek airfield 12/18, brings the total cost to Russia from these operations to…well over half a billion dollars?

As a side note, I continue to enjoy Ukraine’s distinct somewhat-understated approach to battlefield reporting. “The airfield’s control tower was also struck, which may complicate the organization and control of flights at the airfield.” Let’s hope!
