The fate of the Middle Corridor, the trade stretching from the Great Wall of China to Europe, will be shaped by the unbreakable alliance between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, said Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz at the 12th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, APA reports.
Cevdet Yılmaz said that the Middle Corridor, referred to as the Silk Road of the 21st century in Azerbaijan-Türkiye relations, has today gained vital importance like never before: “All eyes are on the Middle Corridor passing through the Caspian. However, turning this potential into a logistical opportunity is in our hands. In this way, the keystones of the modern Silk Road will be set in place. The fate of trade stretching from the Great Wall of China to Europe will be shaped by the unbreakable alliance of Türkiye and Azerbaijan.”
