  1. Surely there are infinite “straight line” routes you could take around the surface of a sphere.

  3. Since you cannot fly underground a straight line would take you into space space.

  6. Well no. You’re not flying over both Russian and American airspace. You’re probably changing planes in Tokyo, Seoul and again in LA/SF, and then probably again in Charlotte or Atlanta since no one knows about McAllen.Â
