The Ecumenical Patriarchate has issued an announcement regarding the first peaceful visit of Patriarch Daniel of Bulgaria to the Phanar, confirming the article published by OrthodoxTimes.

As stated, it is “with pleasure announced” that the Patriarch of Sofia and All Bulgaria will arrive in Constantinople on Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25, “for the realization of his official peaceful visit” to the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

On the afternoon of the same day, “at approximately 5:00 p.m.,” the Patriarch of Bulgaria will preside over a doxology at the Patriarchal Church, and subsequently he will be “officially received in the Hall of the Throne” by His All-Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and the Hierarchy of the Throne.

On the following day, Friday, December 26, the feast of the Synaxis of the Most Holy Theotokos, the Ecumenical Patriarch will preside over the festive Divine Liturgy, “concelebrating with His Beatitude, the Patriarch of Bulgaria,” with the participation of hierarchs from both Churches.

After the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, there will be “an exchange of official addresses between the two Primates,” thus sealing the festive and peaceful character of the visit.
