Is the 25g displayed on the bag a meaningful value or just a guide?

I can’t understand why all of these products state a weight and rarely add up?

Edit: The soft surface is screwing the weight. I am retracting my rage until I can find something else to rage about. Thanks for the posts clarifying this.

  1. Are you sure you’ve tared that scale properly? Placing it on a squishy surface like a sofa won’t necessarily help with an accurate reading.

They also contain sugar now which must be a new thing. Definitely don’t taste as good as they used to. Dare I say the Nordie Tayto is nicer now!

  3. You forget to add in the weight of your guilt for eating unhealthy food. That’s at least another 10g.

I withdraw my rage. Scales were off on the soft surface. Bag is 31g. It’s a Christmas miracle.

  5. I bought goats cheese the other day that said 125g minimum. There was only 115g in it. Not happy but not mad enough to report it.
