  1. I’m sure you will get over it from your solid gold bed, in a palace, in your own principality, in Italy.

War stuff aside, Russia is not a Catholic country. Why would the Pope think Putin would do anything he hinted at?

  3. There is no Christmas in the bible. No popes, no hierarchy. Jesus told apostles – don’t call yourself fathers. Etc etc etc …

  4. Well, after nearly 4 years we’ve graduated from European Condemnation to Sad Pope. Peace must be just around the corner!

  5. Russia and Ukraine both have orthodox groups which celebrate Christmas later. The pope maybe has Alzheimer’s disease.

  6. You’ll get far more mileage condemning Vladdy by name instead of appealing to a good that he doesn’t care for.

  7. Oh no, pope is sad. What a shame. Don’t worry, we all passed through this stage almost 4 years ago

Ok and as much as I condemn this monster Putler, but maybe, just maybe the pope could for once take care of the hundreds of thousands of children his priests rape and abuse. That’s a topic were he could be useful…

Can he have a chat with Patriarch Kirill and have a “come to Jesus” moment with him about supporting the war?

  10. Kidnapping children and literal genocide is happening…. But no Christmas ceasefire makes me sad bro🥲

Once a Commy always a Commy But heads up ..FYI Russian Orthodox Xmas not in 25th December but 8th January…

  12. One of the downsides of how we write headlines is that everything always seems like an official statement someone deliberately announced, rather than just something that came up in conversation with a reporter/podcaster. He literally just said that he is sad that Russia refused a ceasefire during a conversation in front of his house.
