The North Macedonian passport ranks 41st on the list of the most powerful passports in the world, according to a ranking published by the website “Henley & Partners”.

This is an advancement for our country’s passport, compared to last year, when it was ranked 45th on this list.
The Macedonian passport allows visa-free travel to 129 destinations worldwide. The North Macedonian passport’s highest position on this list was in 2014, when it ranked 36th.

In the Balkans, the most powerful passport is held by Croatia, which ranks among the highest globally, with visa-free access to 184 destinations. Serbia is in 35th place with 137 visa-free accessible destinations, while Montenegro ranks 42nd with 128 destinations. Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina share 45th and 46th place, with access to 123 and 122 destinations respectively, while Kosovo has the lowest ranking in the region, in 63rd place, with 81 visa-free destinations.

Among the most powerful countries globally, Singapore leads with visa-free access to 193 destinations, followed by South Korea and Japan, with 190 and 189 destinations respectively. European passports such as France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland also rank at the top of the list, allowing their citizens extensive visa-free travel around the world.
