    >The Colorado-based footwear giant says that’s how much the company has paid due to increased tariffs, and says the Trump administration overstepped his authority in implementing those tariffs.

  2. Hits keep coming:
    * Costco
    * Revlon
    * Bumble Bee
    * Toyota (kinda, US subsidiaries)

    And now Crocs

    There’s a hundred+ smaller companies too.

    Biggest companies won’t touch it yet, not sure they will either given they’re gaining more by pandering to him.

    i just heard that crocs, a company famous for its disgusting looking shoes that would only look good on fat and stupid rosie o’donnel(because she is even uglier), wants to get tariffs back because i overstepped my authority? this is nothing more than an elaborate scheme by the radical left scum to steal trillions and trillions of tariffs collected money for their parasitic pro palestine demonstrating lazy people, instead of that money going to hard working americans that have just begun to feel how america is becoming great again! the whole world envies us! thank you for your attention on this matter!

  4. This is what happens when you play tariff roulette. Everyone thought it was about China, but turns out Crocs got caught in the crossfire.

  5. That’s awesome! Fight this insane administration. And I’m sure that Crocs will refund that amount to their customers, right?

    Nononono, someone tell them it is the other countries that pay the tariffs and it is making us rich.

    Are these companies suing the government going to return our money to us? They passed the cost on to the consumer. The consumer is paying the tariffs in the end.

  8. So we paid the tariffs and now the companies are going to sue the government and get reimbursement from “checks notes” the people that paid the tariffs.

    Well.

  9. Gen X and Boomers: eggs

    Millennials: housing

    Gen Z: Crocs

    No wonder Gen Z support for Trump finally collapsed after he got into power

  10. I thought class action suites needed to be filed to allow this to be a national lawsuit and stop Trump tariffs everywhere not just the district the lawsuit was filed in.

    okay but those tariffs don’t belong to the companies who are suing for them back. They belong to the shoppers who paid the tariffs…

    I get how capitalist corpo scum will capitalist corpo scum, but… that’s still not their money.

  12. They pass the tariffs onto us and then the government refunds them our money back.

    Fuck them. Whatever was already collected may as well stay in the tax pool. There is no benefit to giving it away to the rich.

    Essentially Americans will pay tariffs twice. Once on the rising prices, and another if the courts use taxpayer money to “refund” the tariffs?

  14. Imagine corporations suing the government because they’ve lost profits of government made decisions. Can and should they sue over regulations that cost them profits? Everyone just sees a way to get back at Trump but I’m curious what kind of precedent these cases will set.

  15. So the companies get to double dip here while consumers get double-screwed? Companies get charged increased import taxes, pass those increased costs onto consumers, and then sue for the increased costs that were covered by consumers?

    Any settlements to these companies would be taxpayer-funded so effectively the consumer gets to pay increased costs, AND indirectly pay for settlements to any companies that win their suits

    Oh no, what will MAGA wear now when they go to the grocery store in their flannel pjs and stained shirts???

    ohh now I see what all that reported tariff revenue is for-to compensate all the Americans and businesses he’s hurting! It’s almost like the tariff war never should have happened at all (much like the Rump “presidency”).

  18. Adorable_Ad6045 on

    Yeah when’s this supreme Court going to rule on this shit already? Totally illegally imposed taxation.

  19. Basically these companies think the tariffs will be struck down at the Supreme Court and they want to be first in line for whatever clusterfuck the refunds look like

  20. antsinmypants3 on

    All business should sue because the tariffs are illegal and tax payers should be able to deduct 30% do to their criminality of taxation without representation.
