Estonia said it would not allow border crossing by Russian citizens, known as ‘green men’, and is ready to take appropriate measures to defend its territorial integrity.
According to Ukrinform, this position was expressed by Estonia’s Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna in an interview with o2.pl, which Onet cites. He noted that Estonian border guards have recorded border crossings from Russia before.
“We are constantly watching them; for example, we have many different reports from Narva, which is a border town. Let me be clear: if the green men ever cross our border, we will shoot them. Those will be the consequences; there is no room for discussion. If Russia is not sure that we will actually respond, they can test us”

The Estonian Foreign Minister added that Vladimir Putin should not be trusted under any circumstances.
It was also noted that there is a possibility of responding to threats to its airspace: Estonia said it was ready to shoot down Russian planes if they pose a threat to security.
As reported, on December 18 the Estonian MFA summoned the temporary chargé d’affaires of Russia over crossing the control line at the Narva River border. Then three men in uniform on a hovercraft crossed the control line from Russia into Estonia.
The Estonian government is considering the possibility of revising the threat level assessment and the potential closure of the border with the Russian Federation.
