I still maintain that Sinclair was on the right track just decades ahead of his time. At some point very soon someone is going to hit the jackpot with a low cost personal transport device more attractive than an escooter and the market will explode.

The C5 was a pretty cool concept, way ahead of its time.
I think the world wasn’t just ready for it.

The titanic wasn’t an inherent failure, no ship from the time period would have survived that iceberg and while not having enough lifeboats was an issue, it was the international regulations that were the problem as titanic had more lifeboats than the regulations at the time required.
I don’t believe titanic should be on this list as the ship sank with a large loose of life due to a combination of poor industry wide regulations, bad luck and Mother Nature.

I thought we already had it on permanent display at Westminster

Hopefully there is an old waxwork of Boris that everyone can piss on. He would like that I feel

I wasn’t sure what the Sinclair C5 was to checked the article’s photo that says “..his C5 electric vehicle, a battery-cum-pedal-powered trike…”
Now I understand what that is, but still have questions about its powering methods.

Clive Sinclair changed my life.
Fuck anyone that calls him a failure.
He was incredible, and a British institution.

If they need fundraising ideas, £100 to hang up a picture of your ex in the museum of failures would sell like hot cakes

Seems a bit…insensitive to showpiece the Titanic as a famous British failure, no?
Like, the ship itself wasn’t a failure, and was just a balls-up that could’ve easily happened (and has happened) to plenty other ships. I can see this being marked as a failure if the ship sank on its own accord, but a major maritime disaster that claimed thousands of lives seems a bit tacky.
Its like parading how the World Trade Centers were a failure. It all went to tits because of external factors

Tbf, I’ve got more confidence in the [Bennie Railplane](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bennie_Railplane) than HS2 at this point.
