The event was attended by a large gathering of members who came together to reflect on the achievements of the branch over the past year and to formally mark the handover of the presidency.
Outgoing President Nicola Connolly Byrne was warmly acknowledged on the night for her leadership and contribution to the branch during her term. Members also welcomed Pauline Clarke of KooKee and Eat Loaded Cookies, who will take up the role of President in 2026.
Thanking the committee for their support throughout 2025, Ms Connolly Byrne described it as a memorable and rewarding year for the organisation.
“This has been a fantastic year for all of us,” she said. “I was very proud to support and represent such an amazing group of women, and I will continue to do whatever I can to ensure this continues in my role as ex-officio.
“The theme of our events this year was about showing up in your business, and I was always struck by the way members cheered each other on and supported one another, which is a true reflection of what Network Ireland Louth is about.”
She also highlighted the strong number of entrants from the branch at this year’s Network Ireland Awards in Killarney in September and congratulated Pauline Clarke on being named Networker of the Year at the ceremony. Ms Connolly Byrne extended her thanks to branch sponsors LEO Louth, AIB, Face Credit and Relish for their continued support.
Following the formal handover of the chain of office, incoming President Pauline Clarke addressed members and outlined her vision for the year ahead, revealing her theme for 2026 as ‘Growth in Motion’.
“I stand here with immense pride and a full heart,” she said. “As we look towards 2026, I am excited to build on the extraordinary leadership that carried us here. Nicola’s presidency was rooted in visibility, confidence and self-growth, and the ripple effect of her leadership will be felt long beyond this year.”
Ms Clarke also introduced her Vice President for 2026, Cathy Chiduza of Holistic Healthcare Ireland, and announced SAFE Castlebellingham as her chosen charity for the year ahead.
“SAFE Castlebellingham is a vital service that supports those who battle in silence and find it hardest to ask for help,” she said. “Their work saves lives and I am proud that our branch will stand beside them in 2026.”
Looking ahead, Ms Clarke said the branch would continue its collaborations with Louth LEO and AIB, while also exploring new opportunities to work with local Chambers of Commerce in the coming year.
“2026 will be a year of empowerment, ambition, learning and momentum,” she said. “My hope is that every member will feel supported, encouraged and challenged in the best possible way, to take their next step forward.”
