When you vote to keep putting Economic sanctions on yourself but adamant that Brexit wasnt the fault.
It’s just going to Keep getting worse and worse because people don’t want to admit they were wrong.
That’s okay, at least corporations can dodge taxes and the rich can get richer. So it’s all working as designed.
The UK has been sliding down the world rankings since I was born three decades ago. The real news would be if the UK started growing and went up the rankings.
Not surprising tbh. Every government for 30 years has prioritised making business as difficult as possible, and punishing people who take business risks.

There will always be dodgy politicians and crazy ideas, but it down to people not to give them support, every brexitier that I have met was extremely arrogant and knew they were playing with fire, but they didn’t care despite hearing all the arguments.
They are personally responsible for this mess and UK degradation. They should be reminded every step of the way, till the end.
This is definitely to do with Brexit. The city was the engine of UK GDP and now that benefit is gone forever.
GDP can get in the bin we need better metrics of success for the health of the people
The problems are global ones, our votes have no effect on the issues that decide our collective place in the world but nobody is willing to acknowledge that because it challenges the relevance of political parties.
Name a British company that has done something cool in the last 15 years and made money. Now name an American one. Our country is a basket case.
Yes but have you considered total GDP go up because millions of migrants came in. This is what really matters.
It’s hard to grow an economy with expensive energy prices, expensive infrastructure projects, small to non existent capital markets and a lack of investment even from the UK itself.
Increase the population by millions in the space of a few years with low income, low economic output migrants and wonder why GDP per capita is tanking.
Couldn’t give a fuck. There are loads of countries with lower GDP that are better places to live. We’re too obsessed with this metric.
At the same time IMF forecast sees us moving from 19th to 16th by 2030 overtaking Germany, Belgium and Israel.
