It’s probably safe to assume – most MPs and their devolved cousins long ago subcontracted their social media feeds to juniors with cast-iron stomachs and a high tolerance for unmetered Waves of bile and bot bait. Anyone personally spelunking through the endless slurry of abuse on X would need chemical assistance, something medicinal, something industrial.
There’s a sense that, were it not for the modern superstition that public figures must be eternally online, many of them would happily pull the plug altogether. But the platform has acquired that uniquely modern status: a place everyone privately despises, yet feels duty-bound to haunt, like a digital parish hall with no exits and very bad lighting…
Not really a matter of conscience, more a grudging necessity.

Yeah. Since twitter started requiring accounts to even read it effectively its been time for parties to spin up a mastodon instance and have done with it.

That’s a little bit polite when you consider how much of the state apparatus uses a company by someone who seriously makes nazi salutes . Most mp’s will have had members of their families killed defending these islands from Nazi scum . They should hang their heads in shame

You shouldn’t be able to comment on Imran Ahmed until you’ve watched him speak and try and explain his position.
In response to this Kevin Starmer will just ban under 16s from using X. I wish I was joking but instead of trying to do something about the torrent of shit emanating from X he’ll do something like this instead.

I don’t even know anyone who still uses Twitter. Has it devolved into just old people like Facebook?
