My wife and I go to the Renaissance Faire every year and most years we see at least one person with Hussar Wings out and about. While I’m from here in the US, my wife is from Poland (GdaÅ„sk) and very much a fan of history so she’s always wanted a set of the wings. A while back she showed me this artist from Poland named Szymon TrawiÅ„ski on Instagram who makes amazing wings for museums, theater productions, education, etc. because authentic, original Hussar wings are in very short supply.
Back in March, I contacted Szymon asking if he’d be able to make a set and ship them stateside for a Christmas gift and he was more than happy to oblige! He gave me a bunch of options when it came to fabrics, accents, feathers, wood stain and totally customized them.
To say my wife was happy is an understatement – there were tears. In talking with him I found out he’s not a big fan of self-promotion so I wanted to just share the amazing work to a group that would appreciate the craftsmanship. If you have any questions about the wings or the process or want to know how to reach him to see about getting a set I’d be more than happy to share.

This does look like pretty cool decoration honestly
There needs to be a set of these mounted to a Maluch…
No geese were harmed in the making of this item. =)
Man, you’re a keeper. I’m jealous but also happy for your wife. Enjoy the holidays!
You do know that they didn’t wear those right?
