This Saturday, December 27, the voting process for the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo began in the country’s diplomatic missions abroad.

Voting is taking place in a total of 29 Kosovo embassies and consulates, spread across 18 different countries around the world.

The process began at 07:00 in the morning at the Kosovo Consulate in Istanbul, which is the first diplomatic representation to open its doors to voters. 116 Kosovo citizens with the right to vote are pre-registered at this consulate.

After Turkey, voting continues in 15 European countries, where a total of 17,761 voters are registered. Among these countries are Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Norway, Austria, Sweden, Slovenia, Denmark, Italy, Croatia, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Hungary.

The process will conclude in the American continent, where 1,310 registered voters in the United States and Canada have the right to vote. Diplomatic missions have been opened in Washington, New York, Ottawa and Toronto for this purpose.

Early parliamentary elections in Kosovo will be held on Sunday, December 28, and are the second to be held this year.
