U.S. Ski Team

The greatest skier of all time, Mikaela Shiffrin, and the rest of the U.S. tech skiing team will compete in the Semmering, Austria, World Cup this weekend. In Semmering, there will be a giant slalom race on Saturday and a slalom race on Sunday. Both races can be live streamed on Peacock.

Miners

Last Thursday, the Miners boy’s wrestling team took down Brighton 39-36. Park City celebrated the program’s alumni on the night and improving to 5-1. Miners junior Jackson Bevan’s took down defending state champ Jarom Gappmayor of Brighton 3-0. Park City’s Tidus Schuster, Colin Spencer, Saul Dolores, Jackson Richey, Hudson Underhill and Nikola Djunic also won via pin victories. The Miners are off for the holidays and will return to competition Jan. 2-3 in the Best of the West tournament in Tooele.

Wasatch High

The Wasps boy’s basketball team took down Moapa Valley on Monday 53-39. The win moved Wasatch to 11-1. The Wasps will return to action against Sky View next Friday at 7 p.m. on the road. Wasatch has already equaled their win total from last season and is seeking their first winning season in a decade.

The Wasps girl’s basketball team fell to Bountiful last Wednesday 56-46. Mahala Speredon and Filifaiesea Liava’a led Wasatch in the loss with 11 points each. The loss drops the Wasps to 10-2. Wasatch will next face Timpview on the road at 7 p.m. on Jan. 6.

South Summit High

The Wildcats boy’s basketball team fell to North Sanpete on Saturday 59-52. Joey Harris led South Summit in the loss with 13 points. The Wildcats are 7-4 and will next face Valley on Monday.

The Wildcats girl’s basketball team fell 67-29 to Beaver on Saturday. Ruby Clegg led South Summit with 16 points, five boards and nine steals in the loss. The Wildcats are 2-10 and will face Ogden next Friday at 7 p.m. at home.

North Summit High

The Braves boy’s basketball team took down Rich last Thursday 70-47. Kestin Richins and Tayton Pace each scored 16 for North Summit in the win. The Braves are 9-2 and will face Millard at 7 p.m. on the road on Jan. 7.

The Braves girl’s basketball team fell to Enterprise 53-50 on Saturday. Ellie Stephens led North Summit with 20 points, 12 boards and five assists in the loss. The Braves are 7-5 and will take on Grantsville on Tuesday at 5 p.m. on the road.
