Maybe common, maybe not. But very interesting to see how Estonia was shown during early 80s.

I found inside even a small leaflet illustrating Tallinn.

Book was purchased in an old bookshop in Tartu in 2009.

Question: I see local administration divides country in provinces, districts and parishes. Were these parishes somehow related to religion? Or is it a just a misleading translation of an ambiguous Estonia word?

  1. Parishes are not related to religion, it’s translated to English that way due to a lack of a better word. I would also add that provides are not a thing anymore and have not been for over a hundred years. They were and a thing during the times of the Russian empire

  2. Check out how terrible the map is. Accurate maps were a big secret back then, and all the civilian maps were pretty much just as crooked. Regardless of the fact that by that point all the major powers had mapping and spy satellites for decades.
