The Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sent Russia a protest note in connection with the escalation of shelling of Ukraine last Saturday. According to Ukrinform, this news is confirmed by Lithuanian radio LRT.

Today, a note was handed to a representative of the Russian embassy condemning the Kremlin’s attempts to derail the efforts of the US and Ukraine presidents to end the war, according to the Lithuanian MFA.

According to the Lithuanian authorities, the Saturday attack caused power outages and heating for about a million residents of Kyiv, and rocket and drone strikes hit more than ten residential buildings, including a building of one government ministry.

The Lithuanian MFA provided explanations about the events in the Kyiv region and in the capital during the night attack and its aftermath.
