I am honestly concerned about his views… how could we let someone like this to become President of Poland?

Poland is a part of Europe.

  1. PiS has the problem that now has two more right-sided political parties and they are stealing voters so they have to talk more right in a desperate attempt to contain them 🙂 Populism, Russian influence and personal addiction to power, dictatorship power.

Poland has always been a part of Europe. It didn’t prevent our neighbours from attacking us

  3. naród ma takiego prezydenta, jakiego sobie wybrał, a wybrał takiego, na jakiego zasługuje

  4. Populism and fear mongering at its finest. It helps that a large portion of population (right, left, center equally) is politically, socially and economically “uneducated.” Meaning they take one position on whatever issue, never care to Truely understand it or look at options, and will never admit to being wrong.

But it’s the same in most of the world.

Maybe he was about those ADF clowns yaping about lost land or something. But in the same time russian bots are starting another “divide and conquer” operation and after putting some wedge between Poland and Ukraine they are putting another one between Poland and Germany. There is visible rise in specific topics now.

If he means protecting Poland from the US then that’d be awesome, after all they are on the western side of Poland /s

  7. I know I’m going to be flamed and labeled as a nationalist, but Germans aren’t our friends. Our economies are intertwined and they are close trading partner, but politically our goals are different. Even economically – once our economy moves upward in the value chain and we’ll become competitors it will be even more visible.

Aaaw jeez… I remember when we looked up to Poland for standing up to Russia… now it’s like Putin’s dream.

  9. Well that is basically the constitutional job of the state. So it means that if the border is violated the state will take measures to counter it.

Question is the effectiveness of the defense but the readiness was always there.

  10. It was the anniversary of Poland fighting with Germany, that was a threat from the west so speech was about that.

Blurring the real threat from russia. Sounds like we are surrounded with enemies also in the west. I think the intention is clear.

  12. Poland, by a razor‑thin margin, elected a self‑proclaimed football hooligan who used to meet in the woods with others to beat each other up. He obtained an apartment through an elderly man—whom he later sent to a state home while the old man himself was in jail—despite having signed a declaration that he would care for him. In reality, he charged the man 25% interest. Onet reported that he brought prostitutes to a hotel, and he has photos with the gang leader “Wielki Bu,” who stated that if Nawrocki ever stood up to him, he has compromising material on him.

This is what the Roman Catholic Right voted for.

Same thing that happened in 1930s Germany – Populists ruined the system, but Far-righters reaped the spoils of it.

  14. Western border was victim of german diversion – german police was dropping off illegal imigrants, and no one did anything with that. When people took matter into their own hands, PM decided to make it critical infrastructure, ban protests and civilian patrols, or drones, and forbidden doing photos/videos to protect this. President is actually right in this case, if it needs to be done, we should protect our western border if germany doesnt respect it.

  15. Context: speech was during celebration of Wielkopolskie Uprising, which was against Germany in 27.12.1918

It means that germany has been sending migrants to Poland. Or is that russian conspiracy to redditors?

  17. Poland is part of Europe, Poland is ready to protect its Western border which is disgusting, not like germany who bring back border controls even we are not only in Europe, EU, NATO but Shengen also.

How do germany can be part of Europe if they doesnt trust their long time neighbour and ally, and put border control against them?

  18. Bubbly_Chemist1496 on

Isn’t he doing a pretty good job keeping illegal migrants out unlike countries like Germany

  20. It doesn’t mean anything, he’s a moron. And a trump – wannabe. He’d say any bullshit knowing it would get his party more votes.

  22. So, if Russian soldiers would cross the border to Poland and Germany sends troops to defend our NATO ally, they will shoot westbound?
