On Sunday, gusty northwesterly and northerly winds will continue to blow in Latvia, with precipitation expected in some areas, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On the last day of the week, windy weather will continue, with northwesterly and northerly winds remaining gusty at 15-19 meters per second (m/s), but reaching up to 25 m/s on the coast in the morning. The wind will gradually subside during the day.
Precipitation is expected in some areas, mostly in the form of sleet and rain. At times, the sun will shine, and the air temperature will be between -1 and +4 degrees, but on the coast it will reach +4 to +5 degrees.
In Rīga, precipitation is expected at times during the first half of the day, but the skies will clear up from time to time. The northwesterly, northerly wind will continue to gust at 20-23 m/s. The air temperature will not exceed +2 to +4 degrees.
