The Vetëvendosje Movement has emerged as the leading party in today’s parliamentary elections, according to preliminary results published by the Central Election Commission (CEC).

Based on these results, LVV received 49.80 percent of the votes and, according to initial projections of the distribution of seats in the Assembly, is expected to have 56 deputies.

These projections were made without including diaspora votes and are conditional upon the conclusion of the electoral process.

The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) ranks second with 21.21 percent of the vote and is expected to secure 23 seats in the Assembly.

As the third political force, the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) received 13.76 percent of the vote, which according to projections provides it with 15 MPs.

Meanwhile, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) with 5.73 percent of the votes is expected to have 6 MPs.

The distribution of seats is done according to the D’Hondt method, which is the standard methodology used in Kosovo.

The Kosovo Assembly has a total of 120 seats, of which 100 are general seats shared among political entities, while 20 are seats reserved for non-majority communities.

The final results and the exact composition of the Assembly are expected to be confirmed after the full count of votes, including those from the diaspora.
