My girlfriend works at a cat café in Prague, and at the end of November 2025 she found this camera there. So far, no one has come back to claim it.

The camera’s interface is in German, and it also contains photos/videos (memories) that seem to belong to the owner. We tried to figure out who it might belong to, and based on a PimEyes search, it could belong to someone connected to a high school (Gymnasium) in Deggendorf, Germany.

We’re not trying to invade anyone’s privacy — just genuinely hoping to return the camera to its rightful owner. If anyone here is from Deggendorf, knows someone who lost a camera in Prague, or can help with identification or advice on how to proceed, I’d really appreciate it.

  1. Do Czech cities not have some kind of lost property office you can take this to? Maybe the police?

In any case, definitely don’t publish other people’s private photos or video stills featuring people’s faces (especially those of minors) without the written consent of the people pictured or their legal guardians.

There are two gymnasiums in Deggendorf. You could ask there if they had students on a studienfahrt or similar to Prague in November. They should figure it out fast whose it is

  3. Heic. metadata or Exif metadata can help with GPS coordinates but only if that camera has it, which I doubt this has it.
One lead can be provided by geo guessing the location. There are some great people on reddit that might help you. Once you have the aprox. location, maybe you will find a sub reddit. Who knows🤷‍♂️

    Good luck.

  4. From what I could see on the pictures it seems indeed a group of younger people. As you were able to find a possible connection to the Gymnasium I’d second the opinion to contact the school (school holiday until 7th of Jan) and ask if there is a class which went to prague.
