Slovakia’s consumer confidence indicator rose to -22.4 in December 2025 from -24.6 in the previous month.

This marked the highest reading since September, as confidence improved across three of the four components of the indicator.

Households assessed the expected development of their financial situation more optimistically, both in terms of their overall finances (-9.6 vs -12.9 in November) and their ability to save (-16.1 vs -18.9).

Expectations around unemployment (24.5 vs 27.2) also became more favorable.

On the other hand, concerns about the future development of the overall economic situation deepened (-39.5 vs -39.2).
