Literally 90% of all Turks (from Turkey) will look at you in the eyes and tell you that this is merely a peacekeeping procedure and that they’re there for peaceful reasons.

I wonder who gives the order for this, erhurman or turkey itself. I would love to know

The UN is shambolic, the Turkish army and police are pirates and gangsters in uniform, we should withdraw from all discussions with these bandits and pursue other means to reclaim our stolen land, Cypriots can not go on living with this harrassment.

Let them work freely on their fields without watchtowers and armed guards.

Is it possible that there was some misunderstanding? Everyone knows the Turkish Soldiers are there to prevent the genocide that was happening in 1974 and will happen again if they ever leave. This harassment of farmers is a way to prevent genocide and protect Turkish Cypriots.

Invaders and occupants act like invaders and occupants, what a surprise!

So, rally the elam boys and get stuck in then, anything less just proves they are all talk and zero action! Or maybe just stick to roaming about the streets of Nicosia and bashing anyone that looks turkish!

Again? Wow, the UN is doing such a great job! Seriously, why did we invite these pro-Turkish schmucks? And why is our government not using the National Guard maps instead of the UN ones? Even our politicians are schmucks.

“The UN reportedly remained observers throughout the clash.” wtf is their job there? Drinking tea in a breezy post? Just observing lads! Bird watching more like it chap

Buffer zone, AKA no man’s land.
I am surprised by how much subtext people can generate from these kinds of events.
Occam’s razor, or the principle of thinking, tells us that **the simplest, most elegant explanation is usually the one closest to the truth**.”
**Let me reconstruct what happened with a calculated guess:**
1)Commander orders conscripts: “Do not let anybody enter the no man’s land.”
2)Conscripts see civilians with farming machines.
3)Conscripts harass the farmers who challenge the situation for gathering or planting crops.
4)UN arrives on the scene to break up this high school fight.
Are you all delusional? What is the meaning of a buffer zone if civilians will go in? Do you expect soldiers to be kind? Their duty is to scare them so they won’t do it again.
