The Rome court officially certifies the malfunction of “App”, the Ministry of Justice software used for sharing documents in courts and prosecutors’ offices. In a decree signed on December 22nd, President Lorenzo Pontecorvo attests to the serious operational criticalities of the platform, two years after its entry into force

The decree identifies four main hypotheses: technical problems related to the hardware and operation of the network, including the “persistent shortage of high-performance computers”; critical issues related to the analogue nature or IT errors of the uploaded requests; absence in the application of the deed or procedural phase; blocks or serious slowdowns in system operation. On this last point, the provision refers to the “need for continuous implementation of the software” and the presence of “system errors”, speaking of unresolved “operational slownesses”.

A similar provision was also issued by the general prosecutor’s office of Naples

App went live on January 14, 2023, initially for archiving. The critical issues had already been reported in the testing phase and, in these two years, formal reports have been received by the ministry from courts and courts of appeal.

There are 2/3 of these things that work very badly and they still haven’t improved in the slightest and “there are people forced to go around with trolleys” full of files in the courts. Then we complain about the length of the trials, in 2026 we are still with scribes in the courts.

    >Il decreto individua quattro principali ipotesi: problemi tecnici legati all’hardware e al funzionamento della rete, compresa la “persistente carenza di computer performanti”;

    ma che incapaci
