  1. What makes Israel so special that protesting against that country is so bad and “undermines rule of law”?

But if the police started enforcing the law there would be fewer protests, which would lead to fewer opportunities to earn overtime pay. This is easy money – stand by and watch, and occasionally tell someone to move a few feet. Once in a blue moon arrest someone.

  3. Why is he forcing police to take a particular stand? If there is any crime report it with evidence.

    For people who are confused:

    – Peacefully protesting Israel’s actions in front of their embassy is fine

    – Protesting in front of a restaurant that happens to be Jewish owned and threatening customers and disrupting business is not okay

For people on the other side who are confused: don’t conflate the two.

  5. This is the Great White North. Keep your ancient desert land dispute to yourselves. It’s of no concern to us.

  6. He should present any evidence to police instead of forcing them to act according to his personal beliefs. Police has already clarified many times that there is nothing illegal in these protests. Then is it appropriate for him to interfere in their work? Should a politician be allowed & supported for such interference? Also, CSIS should investigate if he is influenced by any foreign country. They have increased there budget five fold to $729 million.

He has himself attended rallies in support of Israel & has even celebrated Israel’s Independence Day.

I am ashamed and disgusted at the actions of the Palestinians and their ilk in the protests and intimidation in public places. You wanna do that shit?! Go back home and do it there; Canada is not a repository for your discontent and unreasoning hatred. Find out how long you last protesting where it really matters instead of hiding behind the Maple Leaf and bringing condemnation of other nations, nay, of the good citizens of Canada for your unthinking actions. There’s no place for this shit in Canada, take it somewhere else! We don’t want it here!

  8. CBSA needs to have 500 agents checking the immigration status of these “individuals” at every “protest” and then acting accordingly.

  9. How unlike the fish wrapper like the Toronto Sun to completely ignore the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the West Bank. /s

If you support Israel in their ethnic cleansing attempts, peaceful protest is *more* than warranted. Being pro-Palestine is not “hate-filled.”

On a larger note, **what the actual fuck** is Michael Kerzner, the Ontario Attorney General doing trying to direct the operations of **any** police force. In Canada we have *crystal clear* rules about that type of asshattery.

From the AG’s own web site:

    https://www.ontario.ca/page/attorney-general

“The Attorney General does not have the authority to lay criminal charges **or direct the police**. The police may ask for legal advice from a prosecutor, but only police services can investigate and lay charges.” (my emphasis added)

If drug dealer Dougie and crew had any integrity, they would demand Kerzner’s immediate resignation, and failing that, fire is idiot ass. This is the sort of nonsense that happens when you have non-lawyer(aka completely unqualified) AGs.

Good now actually do something like deport any one who does it. Arrest anyone else who does it.
