“Powerful guarantees” are easy to say. Concrete arrangements are hard to undo.

US security guarantees aren’t worth the paper they are written on without the commitment of boots on ground.
This is a great demonstration of how backing up your words matter.
This wouldn’t have even come up in conversation if Ukraine knew it could trust the US to be a reliable security partner.
This is a failure on multiple US administrations imo. They need to stop making commitments they don’t or can’t keep.

This may be a stupid question, but so what if they actually DID attack Putin’s residence? Aren’t they at war?

Can you imagine US troops under Russian control?…
‘Cause they won’t be there for Ukraine.

There aren’t going to be any US troops in Ukraine. That kind of promise is like new $1,776 bonuses for the troops

Lots of Treaties have been null and void decades later .

No way American troops will be sent to Ukraine as that would literally justify Putin’s SMO.
Obama and Biden didn’t send troops before the invasion, negative chance under Trump.

Trump basically nuked the credibility of any “US Guarantees”. Absolutely worthless.

Trump: “OK, in which part of Ukraine do you want US troops?”
Zelenskiy: “Crimea and Donbas.”

I wouldn’t trust US troops to assist Ukraine in Ukraine. It’s worrisome to horrible that they are agreeing to unconstitutional orders to attack civilian vessels in both the Gulf of Mexico and Pacific. With this admin, I see no way the order to attack Ukraine would be questioned from the US military before carrying it out.

US troop presence in Ukraine fighting for Russia?

Look, I’m all for supporting Ukraine in every possible way, but not US troops on the ground. That’s a terrible idea for a number of reasons that I’m not going to debate.

Depends on if the US troops decide they’re helping Ukraine or Russia
