Old and new
On New Year’s Day, like every year, we no longer run trains after 8:00 PM, with the exception of Schiphol Airport – Amsterdam Central Station, where the trains continue to run until 10:00 PM. Our train service will restart on New Year’s Day from 10am. From 1:00 am the night network Rotterdam Centraal – Delft – The Hague Hollands Spoor – Leiden Centraal – Schiphol Airport – Amsterdam Centraal – Utrecht Centraal vv, with additional stops at Amsterdam Bijlmer and Amsterdam Sloterdijk. Just like last year, night trains also run between Haarlem and Amsterdam. Night trains also run from Amsterdam to Zaandam on New Year’s Eve. Around Utrecht Central Station, the Intercity trains to Eindhoven Central Station, Arnhem Central Station and Amersfoort/Zwolle start extra early. The early Sprinters to Schiphol (arrival before 6:00 am) from The Hague, Lelystad, Amersfoort, Alkmaar and Hoorn continue to run on New Year’s morning.
