This day at Euro 2024 also starts with a surprise. The Czech Republic, which was seen as the favorite to secure qualification along with Portugal, failed to win the second group match, the one against the representatives of Georgia.

It was the Georgians who took the lead first, after German referee Siebert was called upon by VAR and awarded a penalty in favor of Georgia. Mikautadze proved accurate from the spot, sending his team into the lead at the end of the first half.
In the second half, after a mess in the area, the Czechs equalized with Patrik Schick in the 59th minute. A goal that seemed to give the Czech team hope to turn the score around, but the Georgians resisted, thus taking the first point in this Euro 2024.

Both teams close Group F, reducing their chances of further qualification.
