If the answer is no, massive amounts of microchip production grinds to a halt and a huge part of the global supply chain is fucked. If the answer is yes, trade between China and the west freezes and the global economy is fucked. Both scenarios are very messy and unpredictable, which leads me to believe an invasion isn’t imminent.
The Taiwanese people deserve their independence. China is being a bullying imperialist and their fixation is pretty pathetic. They are already one of the biggest nations on earth. They need more territory? They are behaving like Russia.

Why not work on uplifting your country and other countries together? In what way dos China need Taiwan?
